 Last year, Disney+ introduced a new policy of password sharing in Canada and is now limiting it in the US. The Verge has stated that the streaming service is informing its country subscribers about a change to its terms of service. The service agreement now allows users to share their passwords with others, unless they are authorized by their service tier, which could lead to the introduction of new subscription options in the future.Disney+ informed its subscribers that they can assess the use of their account to determine compliance, but did not provide any details on how these methods work. According to a Disney+ email, the company has implemented restrictions on sharing accounts outside of households and will be reviewing your compliance. According to the Service Agreement, subscriber households are made up of devices connected to their primary residence that are used by them. The rule is already in effect for new subscribers, but old ones will have until March 14 to see how it's going.Hulu, Disney's other streaming service, has announced that it will restrict password sharing beyond the subscriber' 'primary personal residence'. Users were warned in the same language that their accounts would be deemed compliant with the new rule, which was implemented on March 14.
